As I drove home today I noticed some dump trucks leaving campus. This one is hauling snow away as if it was gravel or dirt or something. With a full month of below freezing temperatures behind us,and no break in sight for several weeks to come, we can’t get rid of it any other way.

Can’t wait for spring… or at least something approaching 40 degrees. I walk thru a trench that’s 10-15 inches deep to get into work, and you can actually see the different layers of snow as it piled up, got dirty and then was covered again with fresh.

Permafrost. I am chilled to the bone just typing it in.
